Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta's corruption trial resumes August 27, after the Supreme Court unanimously upheld the constitutionality of the Office of the Special Prosecutor Act - a ruling that also unfreezes several other OSP cases that had stalled since April over the same legal question. Ofori-Atta faces 28 corruption-related charges tied to the SML-GRA revenue assurance contracts, down from an original 78 counts against him and seven co-accused. He separately secured US permanent residency earlier this year while the case was on hold.
