Ayekoo Launches Digital Skills Bootcamp for 500 Yo
The Ayekoo Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation, has launched a free 12-week digital skills bootcamp aimed at training 500 unemployed youth across the Greater Accra Region in web development, data entry, and digital marketing.
The programme, which kicked off this week at the Accra Digital Centre, will run in three cohorts and includes a job-placement partnership with over 40 local tech employers. Officials say the initiative is part of a broader push to close Ghana's digital skills gap and reduce youth unemployment, which remains above 12 percent nationally.
"We are not just teaching code — we are building a pipeline into real jobs," said the programme coordinator at the launch event. Applications for the second cohort open next month.
